It is so much easier to go grocery shopping without kids. When my kids were younger, I used to relish those times when Lance was home to watch them so I could shop more effectively. To not have to keep an eye on them as they raced to the next aisle where I couldn't see them, to not have to say "no" to their myriad of requests, to actually be able to think through what brand of salad dressing to get. Now, Kyle is old enough to babysit when I go during the day.
So why does it make me so sad that no one wants to go with me anymore?

I have to say, when we were all kids, it baffled me when Mom wanted to go without us. I always thought "how boring... why would she want to go without me? I am such a good help!" I then took Kylie to the store when she was about three... then I understood. I never grew out of wanting to go though. I'd go with you.
Don't worry. You'll get over it and be just fine going without them. In fact, after shopping awhile without them, it will seem almost too much to take them all.
I think it feels so weird to go anywhere alone. I almost have an insecure feeling about it. It is nice to have kids old enough to watch younger kids so you don't have to take them all, but I get lonely just the same....
ummmm...I guess I cant quite feel the same sadness about the prospect of shopping without my kids, because right now they are driving me nuts, but I would be glad to let you take them any time to help alleviate that sadness...hahahahahah
Thanks Kristine but my kids are perfect (LOL) actually I love taking Kylie now but she is also 7, It's my husband I hate taking, he takes to long shopping and by the time we are at wal-marts famous 35 minute lines. He sits in the car with the kids and wait's for me.
