Kyle's 7th grade junior high schedule came in the mail yesterday. Exciting stuff!! Especially since his new school is my alma matar.
I'm just wondering how weirded out I should be that his art teacher and his science teacher are the SAME ONES I had for 7th grade art and 7th grade science.
One one hand... I realize that 7th graders aren't known for their stellar abilities to judge an adult's age, but I'm pretty sure these two teachers weren't spring chicks when they were mine. And that was 24 years ago!
On the one hand, how cool is it that we get to experience the same teachers? I say pretty darn. Plus, they've totally got to be experts at dealing with the junior high attitude by now, right?

So who are the teacher's?
Miss Beatty and Mr. Finlayson
I dont quite know how to deal with second generation teachers...never lived where my parents grew up and my kids don't live where I grew up. But that is one very cool thing about PG. Cameron will have to check with Kyle to see what classes they might have together. C is very excited too and can't wait for Jr High.
I'm a little weirded out by that.
Drew had them too! lol! Glad I never went there - sorry! If he ever has Mr. Spence, make sure Kyle tells him Drew is his uncle. He'll get an A.
I had those teachers also. My mother-in-law dated Mr. Finlayson. That was weird for me to be a newly wed and have my mother-in-law dating him. He ended up marring someone else.
Oh Peggy, I am laughing my head right off...YES, I too had both of those teachers and I can't believe they are still teaching...or should I say...should they still be teaching? They were tired when I was there!
